Ok.

I have a confession to make. I havent touched my sewing machine for more than a month.

If you must know I am a person with many interests. I m not trying to lay down lame excuses here for not being productive for some times. its just that my interests will be like like a circle going round and round ...

Lets just cut this short ... I have been busy with my camera. I have a Flickr account on the left side of this page. So you will know that when I m not here I ll be there.

InsyaAllah I will sew something soon ... perhaps a camera bag hahahaha

The Winners

Salam All.

Finally, the day has come for me to announce the winners of my first ever Giveaway. Even though it didnt happen the way I thought it would be .. (with hundreds of entries ...( hahahaha ada hati mimpi email sampai ke seratus) ) it drove me crazy too ..... with emails reaching not even 10 ... it was quite disheartening .. but then serve me right .. gatal buat soalan susah ! No wonder even Ayu said its like I m not willing to giveaway anything at all.

The riddle was something I got years back and I thought you ladies would have known or at the very least googled and found the answer from somewhere ... but it turned out not many even had a clue of what it is.

So heres the answer to the riddle:-

"NOTHING"

Yeap ...

"Nothing" could ever precede or be greater than HIM.

"Nothing" is more evil than the devil

Poor people (usually) have "nothing"

Wealthy people (usually) need "nothing"

If you eat "nothing" .. you will of course die

And as for the second part of the question where you have to list down the items .. well I dont really mind whatever you put in the list ... as long as theres a list. Just something for you to do ... hehe .. *evil grin*

The reason I put down the 100th email is actually for you all to help me get to that figure by .. well ... announcing it to the others so they would join too .. but like I said serve me right ..padan muka ... because of the difficult riddle ... manalah ada hati nak iklankan kat orang kan kan kan. Diri sendiri pun tak tau jawapan nak cerita hapanya kat orang lain ..... haih ...

I was being very busy

I lied there a bit

I have not been making any projects lately even though I have cut some fabrics to make one beautiful table cloth ... (well of course we all want to think our creations are beautiful or otherwise we would have to use the seam ripper again, right?)

Anyways, I must confess that I have been busy playing with my new toy and neglected this blog a bit (ok not a bit only a few weeks hokey..?)

Finally Alhamdulillah I managed to finish the runner. I was actually stuck with the bias binding as I was a bit hesitant and overly careful on how to cut the fabric and bind it properly.

Since Ayu was around, she helped me with the cutting and I finished the whole thing albeit my uneven stitch trademark which you could see if you turn it around.

In that case, my solution is
to make sure its glued to the table
so nobody should know or see its back

ha ha ha ha ha ha

Its ART When You Cant Explain It

Remember the Jelly Roll from my last entry .....

I cut them into squares and decided my coffee table outside needs a new runner.

A bit (ahaa) crowded the design said my Sifu, Ayu ... I have to agree with her but of course I m too old to have the energy to get hold of the seam ripper.. so I just go with the flow

A bit smaller than the dinasour ... hopefully its much easier to tame !!

Ayu even said its a piece of an art

I take it as a compliment.

My First Jelly Roll

Hi ! Let me introduce myself again.
I m Ann.

(Just in case most of you have forgotten me after a long hiatus)

I just bought myself a jelly roll which when i first heard of it thought it was some sort of candy. So please excuse my taking all these pictures. Ya saya agak "peghak"

and placed in rows

... never seen touched one before and its such a delight to finally get one. (Ya life is short, I m happy with whatever that brings me joy even if its only from this simple sweet roll)

I hope I can start with something else with the new jelly (hahaha) ..... rather than wait for this dinosaur quilt to finish. I seriously dont know when it is going to end ..... Letih buat ... jangan kata thread holder patah ... tulang belakang pun boleh tau.

I m A Confused New Quilter With Muscles

Oh yeah .. pump those biceps ladies

I need all the strenght to handle this

Something bigger, much bigger than the usual cushion cover

A new quilter with big ambition

but a weak back

crawling on this piece tacking is no joke

and not a small hassle

never never again underestimate those quilters lady

only a small portion and I m already thinking of giving up with this quilt design

How not to give up .... ????

and with muscles like mine its no surprise I m allowed to break a few things

I broke the thread holder

glued it tight

dry it with a hair dryer



broke it again

bad injury



and as of now seam ripper is my close fren

ripping away the quilt design



I think I better learn how to manoeuvre big piece with the machine first

before I can venture further

now you know why you need a strong hand

but bigger patience

and stronger determination
